2011-06-02 RDD measurements of 128,129,116,137 and 138 - Round two!

Based on Sam's measurements of MTTI 128, 129, 116, 137 and 138, it is clear we need an additional round of diffusion distance vs. time measurements to complete the evaluation of these probes.

Bernd is going to start the labeling on Friday June 3rd, and allow the dye to diffuse for 4 days (96 hours), 3 days (72 hours), 2 days (48 hours) and 1 day (24 hours), I believe at 60C in fixed tissue. The will excise intercostal spaces containing about 3 nerves - separating the intercostal space from the spinal column. I think the plan is to put 1 dye in on the left side, and another on the right side.

Altogether, Bernd will generate about 60 samples  ( 5 dyes x 4 time points x 3 intercostal spaces). This should give us up to 9 nerves to image for each data point.

We will need to book imaging time for the week of June 13th - 17th, analyze data from the 20th - 24th and prepare a report for Brian and Bernd by the 27th of June.

Progress:

Time has been booked on the scope from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm from June 13th - 17th (total of 20 hours of imaging time). We can evaluate whether or not this is enough/too much after June 13th.

Completed the imaging on Friday, June 17th. Now we need to analyze the data during the week of the 20th!
