The Annual physics lab safety training will be held on Tuesday August 25th.
Anyone who works in a lab (or teaches in a lab) is required to go through this training each year. If you cannot be present at this training session, you are required to make arrangements to complete the training on your own before you may work in a lab. (Those working in computer-only labs do not need to complete this training.) If you have any question about whether you need training please check with me and/or your research supervisor.
The 2009 Evening of Reflection will be on Sunday, April 26th at the home of Jack Gabel (Map). The program will begin at 4:00 pm and includes dinner. Some of the events of the evening will include:

This spring, the Creighton University Society of Physics Students (CUSPS) will again sponsor Physics Field Day, a day of activities and excitement for high school students. The theme of the 2009 Physics Field Day is “Space Physics as Portrayed in Film.“ The rulebook can be found here.
This year’s Physics Department Retreat will consider Our Jesuit Past and Future. Our special guests will be Fr. Larry Gillick and Dean Robert Lueger. The retreat is open to all physics students, faculty and staff. It will be held at the Creighton Retreat Center in Griswold, Iowa, starting at 6 pm on Thursday, February 5, and ending Friday, February 6, at 6 pm. The cost is $10 for undergraduate students, $20 for graduate students, $30 for staff and $40 for faculty.

This coming Saturday, November 22nd, from 1-4pm the Physics Club will be raking leaves for the elderly.
Please meet in the Physics Club room at 12:45pm on Saturday.
